1. F.E.C. Construction Professionals 2014–2015
F.E.C. Construction Professionals is a F.E.C. (Further Educated with Companies) program aim-
ing at updating and strengthening the participants’ construction management skills and timber
construction knowhow.
Duration of the program is 7,5 months (20.10.2014–18.6.2015), which consists of on-the-job-
training in a partner organization (approx. 120 days) and Aalto University Professional Devel-
opment – Aalto PRO’s training (approx. 40 days).
The program covers topics such as:

• Construction Management
• Lean Construction
• Building Information Modeling – BIM
• Wood as a Construction Material
• Timber Construction: Characteristics, Challenges and Opportunities
• Fire Safety in Timber Buildings
• Moisture and Acoustic Issues of Using Wood
• Quality and Risk Management
• Change Management
• Production Control
The trainings are hosted by experienced construction management, timber construction and
other professionals. The training is conducted in Finnish.
