Women’s Innovative
Network
Connecting and supporting women in a
diverse, empowered workplace.
Diversity is the art of thinking
independently and differently, but
coming together with shared purpose
and values. And while diversity is an
everyday reality for society as a whole,
in business a diverse employee base
increases creativity, innovation and
profitable growth.
WIN’s mission combines three focus
areas into a single purpose: to promote
diversity overall and support women’s
growth and success in particular.
Bringing Self,
Company and
Community
Together
Three Focus Areas—One Mission
■ A safe forum for personal growth, mutual
understanding and support for women at FNC
■	Professional excellence, diversity of thought in the
workplace, and applying the FNC Culture Pillars
■	Connecting with external communities to promote
technology and business education and opportunity
for women
How do I Join WIN?
Simple—just join in! WIN does not charge dues or fees. All
FNC employees are invited to WIN events. We welcome
active volunteers, fresh perspectives, diverse backgrounds,
skills and expertise—and new ideas.
Contact Us
The FNC Intranet portal, CONNECT, is your point of access
to workplace information and resources of all kinds.
Use CONNECT to contact WIN by opening the
Communities menu at the top of the Connect home
page and selecting Women’s Innovative Network. This
takes you to the WIN community’s home page. This
page links you to information about members and
committees as well as past and upcoming events, news
and topical articles. You can also post a message to the
WIN community.
If you “follow” the WIN community, posts and updates
from other WIN members will be added to the newsfeed
on your home page.
“WIN is a highly engaged group of employees who
represent the very best of the aspirations embodied in
our five culture pillars. My hope is that WIN’s example
will inspire and motivate employees at every level to
advocate for women in technology and advance the
overall cause of diversity in our workplace. WIN is a force
for positive change and everyday leadership not just
within FNC, but in the community at large.”

in achieving
their full
potential.
What is the Women’s
Innovative Network?
It’s no secret that the business world needs more
women leaders—not just in the boardroom or the
lab, but at every organizational level. The Women’s
Innovative Network (WIN) brings together employees
from all over FNC to support, empower and guide
women in achieving their full potential.
We launched in 2015 as the first-ever women’s
organization at FNC. We’re developing a program
of events and opportunities for self-improvement,
education, professional development, and
community involvement.
Events and Activities
WIN is lively, dynamic, optimistic, and growing. We
organize a variety of events and activities open to all
FNC employees:
■	Presentations and panel discussions featuring
respected experts and business leaders
■	Classes on relevant industry, technology, business
and workplace topics
■	Informal group discussions to share personal insights
and wisdom
■	Attendance at women’s leadership and professional
networking events
■	Participation in community fundraisers
■	Volunteer opportunities to support charitable causes
■	Promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and
Math (STEM) education for women

“WIN has become a source of empowerment and
encouragement. The initiatives and events that
WIN hosts inspire me to grow both personally and
professionally, and to give back to my community.”
Amy Hanks
HR Specialist, Human Resources
“WIN has provided me the opportunity to get to know
other women within FNC that I would not otherwise
have met. This has enriched me as a person and
provided me a new network of people to make things
happen inside and outside work.“
Christine Podraza
Director of Product Technical Marketing, Optical Business Unit
“At WIN, we learn to challenge our ideas and
boundaries, and we give ourselves an opportunity
to connect with enthusiasm and encouragement to
contribute to society through outreach initiatives.”
Nikitha Reddy
Software Engineer, Development
WIN’s mission
combines three focus
areas into a single
purpose: to promote
diversity overall and
support women’s
growth and success
in particular.
