RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Software Engineer University of California, Berkeley Fall 2015 – May 2016
Master of Engineering Capstone Project
Using a GPU accelerated machine learning library, the goal of this project was to design a data processing
pipeline simulating ad auction process used by search engines and displaying key metrics in real time.
• Pre-processing of the dataset (60M entries) on a remote EC2 instance. Matrix factorization using Latent
Dirichlet allocation to model the interaction between an advertiser/keyword pair CTR and the rank on the page
• Implemented the backend part of the system in Scala. Integration with the front end using Play Framework
Software Engineer Supélec Fall 2014 – June 2015
Remotely controlled LED lightning system on which “light tracks” can be played to enhance the atmosphere of
private parties.
• Creation of a file format and a software to remotely control our device. Use of UML to design our software
architecture.
• Programming in C++ on a microcontroller (Spark Core) and design of the network interface (TCP protocol).
PROJECTS
Yelp Restaurant Classification Challenge (Spring 2016)
Multi-Instances Multi Label classification which goal was to guess businesses attributes using user submitted
photos
• Feature extraction using a pre-trained CNN and SVM multiclass classifier (0.76 F1 score)
• Transfer learning on a CNN trained on the PASCAL image dataset (0.72 F1 score)
Social Neighborhoods (Fall 2015).
Challenge conventional neighborhoods using Foursquare check-in and a spectral clustering algorithm in
order to uncover “social neighborhoods”. Python, QGIS
