Benjamin Baker is seeking a summer internship in audio engineering to further his knowledge of speaker design. He is currently studying Electrical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a 3.1 GPA and relevant coursework including circuits, signals, and physics. His projects include creating Verilog code for a stopwatch logic circuit and building and testing capacitors and inductors. He has skills in programming, CAD software, and electrical systems and has internship experience in immunology and auto restoration.

Objective:
To obtain a summer internship at an audio company to further my knowledge of speaker design and building
Education:
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI)
Major: Electrical Engineering

Oaks Christian High School
High School Diploma: May 2015, GPA 3.3
Related coursework: Sensors, Circuits and Systems (Filter Design), Continuous Time and Signal Analysis
(Electrical Signals), Introduction to Circuit Design, Differential Equations and Calculus, Physics (Kinetic,
Electricity and Magnetism), AP Physics, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry , Honors Pre-Calculus
Projects:
Using Verilog to create logic circuits: As part of the coursework at WPI, I was required to create Verilog code to
accomplish the task of creating a stop watch. This included creating a hex driver for the display, 4 bit counters,
clocks and many other elements in order to make a working display. The stop watch had a button that either stopped
or started it and one that also reset it. Thought this seems mundane, the code involved is quite complex and we take
that for granted.
Making components and testing them against their theoretical value: As another part of WPI coursework, I
made my own capacitors and inductors. I calculated the theoretical values of these components based on the
material properties. The theoretical values were compared that to the actual measured values and relatively good
results were obtained (+/- 20% error).
