I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Marah Benjamin-Taylor from May 5, 2014 until July 4,
2015, in her capacity as Program Management Specialist for the Department of Fire Protection
Engineering. I was Marah’s supervisor.
Marah is an excellent employee who brings a range of qualities to her work. She is:
 Knowledgeable and resourceful. If Marah doesn’t know the answer, she knows how to
find it and she cultivates resources in her professional environment. She is a relationship-
builder and uses that skill to support excellence in her work.
 Professional and kind. Marah maintains a professional demeanor and is kind and caring,
ready to support a concerned student; a harried faculty member; or a colleague on
deadline. Marah has a calm personality and uses it to set a calming tone around her.
 Interested in learning. Marah is eager to learn new skills and information that will allow
her to do the best job. Her desire to learn is a huge asset.
 Organized. Marah manages her time well and is thoughtful about prioritizing her work
based on deadlines, demand, etc.
I would hire Marah again in a heartbeat. She is a class act and a great asset to any organization.
She is a good person and an outstanding employee. I was proud to have her represent Fire
Protection Engineering.
