If you are an A2 Language learner
who want to learn some free time
activity vocabulary, this is for you!
Students’ suggested level: A2 (CEF)
         Skill: Vocabulary
      Tense: Simple Present
      Time: 45 - 60 minutes
1. This lesson is designed to be used as a way to
practice simple present tense and daily activities
     vocabulary.

2. You are going to read some people’s descriptions
of their free time activities. Here, you will
familiarize with some free time activities.

3. After that, you are going to work on a matching
activity in which you will see more free time
     activities.
4. Later, you are going to write a brief
description of what you like to do during
     your free time.

5. Finally, you can check how you did on the
matching activity by checking the answer
     key.
By the end of the activity students will:

Be able to identify different free time activities.

Use the vocabulary to share their plans for their
free time.
Al wheeler from Canada

We have long, cold winters and short, hot
summers. In summer I go sailing and I play
baseball, but in winter I play ice hockey and go
ice-skating. We have a holiday home near a lake,
so I go fishing a lot, too. My favorite season is
Autumn, or fall, as we say in North America. I
love the colors of the trees - red, gold, orange,
yellow, and brown.

Manuela Da Silva from Portugal.

People think it's always warm and sunny in but
January and February and often cold, wet, and
grey. I do not like winter. I meet friends in
restaurant and bars and we chat. Sometimes we
go to a Brazilian bar, I love Brazilian music. But
then, suddenly it's Summer and at weekends we
drive to the beach, sunbathe, and go
windsurfing. I love Summer.
Toshi Suzuki from Japan.

I work for Pentax Cameras, in the export
department. I do not have a lot of free time, but I
have one special hobby - taking photographs, of
course! I like taking photographs of flowers,
especially in Spring. Sometimes, after work, I
relax in a bar near my office with friends. My
friend, Shigeru, likes singing pop songs in the
bar. This has a special name, karaoke. I do not
sing, I'm too shy, I just watch him.
