KIA MOTORS
Name: Shaikh Fahad Saeed

Major is finance
Executive Summary
 The policy of my university is that every student needs to do
internship and this program is for two months.
 It was the really interesting working in KIA motors and I working in
finance department which is related to my major finance. Finance
teaches me how auditing and analysis goes in KIA motors. After I
graduate from university I will be ready to face any kind of problem
which is related to major finance.
 This report will summarize my trip of six weeks internship at KIA
motors in Khobar Dammam highway.

Abstract
 The KIA automobile
industry is one of the
largest in the world.
 the fastest growing
one in the global
markets especially
after the recent
global financial crisis
in 2008.
Introduction
 The Korean automobile industry is the
fifth largest in the world in terms of the
production volume and the sixth largest
in the export volume in 2010.
 Three major companies Hyundai Motor
Company, KIA Motors Corporation, and
Daewoo Motor Corporation accounted
for about 90 percent of the South Korean
market.
 The merged Hyundai-Kia ranks the fifth
in terms of the production volume after
Toyota, GM,Volkswagen, and Ford in the
world.
 Why KIA and Hyundai merge.

diversification
 The KIA automobile industry has
produced many different types of motor
vehicles with high quality at reasonable
costs.
 Most companies have competitive
resources, technical, and managerial skills
in this manufacturing industry.
 The Korean automobile industry has the
best operations in manufacturing
automobiles at reasonable costs.
 There have been many predominant
automobile companies in the world which
diversified their products, but could not
succeed all the way in the global markets
Manufacturing Processes
 Manufacturing processes in the
automobile industry was
pioneered by Henry Ford.
 No companies today would like
to build a high level of inventory
stacked up for the future
 This type of new system leads
KIA automobile companies to
perfect their control over the
subcontractors and the vendors
 quality of the parts and shortens
the delivery time dramatically.
Market Strategies
 While the mass production is still
a common practice by the
automobile industry in the world,
the demand of motor vehicles
also increased steadily all over
the world.
 How KIA motors build there trust
to the customer.
 Typical KIA automobile company
has a unique system of franchise
dealership

Competitive strategies
 KIA motors having had hard
time with other competing with
other motor companies around
the world because of very large
numbers motor companies all
over the world

Executive Summary  The policy of my university is that every student needs to do internship and this program is for two months.  It was the really interesting working in KIA motors and I working in finance department which is related to my major finance. Finance teaches me how auditing and analysis goes in KIA motors. After I graduate from university I will be ready to face any kind of problem which is related to major finance.  This report will summarize my trip of six weeks internship at KIA motors in Khobar Dammam highway.

  • 5. Abstract  The KIA automobile industry is one of the largest in the world.  the fastest growing one in the global markets especially after the recent global financial crisis in 2008.

Introduction  The Korean automobile industry is the fifth largest in the world in terms of the production volume and the sixth largest in the export volume in 2010.  Three major companies Hyundai Motor Company, KIA Motors Corporation, and Daewoo Motor Corporation accounted for about 90 percent of the South Korean market.  The merged Hyundai-Kia ranks the fifth in terms of the production volume after Toyota, GM,Volkswagen, and Ford in the world.  Why KIA and Hyundai merge.

Analysis of the KIA automobile industry product diversification  The KIA automobile industry has produced many different types of motor vehicles with high quality at reasonable costs.  Most companies have competitive resources, technical, and managerial skills in this manufacturing industry.  The Korean automobile industry has the best operations in manufacturing automobiles at reasonable costs.  There have been many predominant automobile companies in the world which diversified their products, but could not succeed all the way in the global markets

Manufacturing Processes  Manufacturing processes in the automobile industry was pioneered by Henry Ford.  No companies today would like to build a high level of inventory stacked up for the future  This type of new system leads KIA automobile companies to perfect their control over the subcontractors and the vendors  quality of the parts and shortens the delivery time dramatically.

Market Strategies  While the mass production is still a common practice by the automobile industry in the world, the demand of motor vehicles also increased steadily all over the world.  How KIA motors build there trust to the customer.  Typical KIA automobile company has a unique system of franchise dealership  Why KIA why not other companies car.
