ACADAMIC
INTERESTS:
As I studied about some interesting fields during my M.Sc., I would like to work in
those areas such as project management, inventory management, forecasting sales
and risk management.
PROJECTS: M.Sc. Project:
Identify a market opportunity to produce and market a biomass-based fuel or
energy source
I was a member of a team of five Master's students working on a project. The
project was to prepare a business plan to manufacture bio-diesel using fish waste as
a raw material and sell it in the UK. The business plan covered many aspects like raw
material procurement, manufacturing process of bio-diesel, obtaining customers,
market research, marketing and sales strategy and finance required for the business.
As it was a group project all of us had some contribution in all these aspects but my
major contribution was in actual manufacturing of the bio-diesel at the plant. It
involved conversion process of bio-diesel from the raw material of fish waste,
selecting manufacturing machinery, and optimizing the manufacturing cost. A
manufacturing process was designed and optimized through a model created in
WITNESS software in order to maximize the revenue and minimize the cost. The
project planning was based on PRINCE2 methodology.

3. B.E. Projects:
A. Final Year project (Group project): Automatic Toll-Tax Collection System
under the guidance of Instrumentation Dept.,Watumull Institute of Electronics
Engineering and Computer Technology. (May 2011).
We had a MYFAIR RFID card and a reader/writer device. When a car comes near
the tax collection counter, the weight of the car is sensed by the load cell. Every
driver will have his/her own RFID card. The database is created which includes all
the information about user of the RFID card, the amount of toll-tax to be
deducted from the card according to weight of the vehicle- light vehicle/ heavy
vehicle etc. The driver places the card on the reader/writer device. According to
weight of the vehicle, amount of toll-tax gets deducted from the card
automatically. The user can see the deducted amount on the screen. After all the
transaction is done the gate opens automatically. We had used IR sensors there
at the gate. When car passes through the gate, IR sensors circuit is cut, and gate
closes automatically. All the programming is in Visual Basic.
B. Mini project (Group project): Water Level Control under the guidance of
Instrumentation Dept., Watumull Institute of Electronics Engineering and
Computer Technology. (Dec 2010).
