DESCRIPTION OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Making of Mohallah:
As Aqa Moula TUS has stated " the society in
which a Mumin lives, should always imitate the
imani imprnit."
Mohallah is a combination of society, people
living in it, environment they are surrounded with
and the culture they acquire. The society has a
deep reflection on his life, behavior, manners,
ethics and every single organ in his body will
echo his surroundings.
Keeping this in mind we have designed this
Mohallah which will reside our culture, our
environment, our atmosphere, our community
making it livelier. Furthermore the beautiful
landscape with gardens and outdoor play area
are also integrated within our Mohallah design.
Jamaat Khana and Madrasah is the central core
of our mohallah. The upshot of all this is to
enlighten ourselves with Ibadat.
Manzil (Towers):
As Aqa Moula TUS has defined in his bayan, in
order to uplift our darajat (manzil) in life here
and thereafter one has to increase the value
and the caliber of the place he lives in.
Metaphorically, the levels of the tower depict
the level of these darajaats.
Manzils should be such that we are
relieved, lightened and disburdened
when we enter it.
Privacy and discretion should be the
factor of consideration

THE SCHEME

An environment has been
conceived and created that
shall be helping and directing
every individual of any age to
become more conscious and
responsible towards life and its
surroundings.
The surrounding or the
developed environment on the
other hand shall respond and
create the sense of place and
community on longer run.

• PEDESTRIAN ENCLAVE TO NOURISH
SENSE OF PLACE AND COMMUNITY
LIVING
The leading concept of mohallah and the
sensitivity of the communal feel drive us to
make some serious decision regarding
transport and commute.
Concepts of having free flowing, user friendly,
green and interactive garden spaces and
walkways have been encouraged. However,
the issue of cars and parking has been
handled carefully and 3 floors are dedicated
along with 4 ramps at entry nodes.
Furthermore, the concept of Retail kiosks,
spaces for informal gatherings, revival of the
bicycle, trees, lawns, green patches and water
bodies in the open area are introduced and
integrated architecturally to create the feel
of mohalla.

• SECURITY ENCLAVE
Compound is gated and secured as it has been a challenge in
this particular region.
Two gate houses have been introduced to ensure the safety and
security of the entire scheme.
Though it had been a challenge for us to develop a secured and
gated community with the intent of interactivity at the same time.
Hence the main entrances are gated but welcoming and inviting.

• RESPECT FOR NATURE
Nature is the guiding source for the intellectual development for
mankind.
The entire design scheme revolves around to develop or establish
a direct connection of every individual with the nature.
Hence the term nature should not be strictly limited to the selection
of plants into the scheme.
The color, texture, proportions, scale and other architecture
principles have been studied to carve a direct, substantial and
creative relationship with the nature.

• INTRODUCTION OF KIOSK IN ENCLAVE
TO ENCOURAGE COMMUNAL
INTERACTION
.
The idea of bringing in the retail kiosk
into the scheme shall encourage the
interactive quality of the compound
with its adjacent surroundings and
improves the hostile situation of today’s
man’s mind infected by the electronic
media invasion in his own private space.
This interaction shall allow this
architectural scheme to act as
contemporary context to the entire
neighborhood of North Nazimabad
and beyond.
It will also help in cutting down the
unnecessary mobility of users going out
and coming in for perishable items for
daily use.

AMENITIES

The presence of a four storied structure as Jamat Khana
and amenity block provides the state of absolute to the
entire residential scheme and exists as a convenient
feature for the users.
GROUND FLOOR PLAN

The location of the amenity block is pivotal and symbolizes the
ethnic and cultural essence of the community.
Functionally more than 1000 people can be accommodated in two
floors in case of formal or informal gatherings.

The upper floor of the structure has been dedicated
to the gymnasium and indoor sports activities.
Jamat Khana has also been surrounded by larger
green patches to encourage to extend the gathering
into green areas along with covered spaces.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN
A celebrating and welcoming entrances through the glass void has been
provided for the visitors. The colonnade adds an important feature to the
shopping experience as well.

The triple height of the atrium is given to bring the visual connection between
the retail shops and the circulation space.

4TH FLOOR /FOOD COURT PLAN
The fourth floor is dedicated for the food court where families as well as
individuals can enjoy wide range of cruise,. the dining area is connected to the
covered terrace which look-out to the busy urban landscape.

To cater the parking situation; in each basement 25 car parking has been
provided.

The purpose of setting up a mall in a residential complex
is to generate income and to utilize the money gained in
the maintenance of the scheme.
Besides shopping, facilities such as food court and
children’s play area are also incorporated in the design.
