Major General PC Sen | A beautiful representation of the Bangalore Chennai Highway : It passes through a village called Shoolagiri as "Part of the National Highway Number 44". (One has to turn east from Krishnagiri town and leave NH 44 and head for Chennai). This highway is the part of the longest North-South India Highway.

4. National Highway 44 : Shoolagiri
• NH 44 is the longest North - South Indian highway : 3745 Km
• Starts at Kashmir and ends at Cape Comorin, Tamil Nadu : 12 States
• Shoolagiri Village is on this highway : about 40 Km from Bangalore.
• The village gets the name from the three peaks overlooking it
• Trishulam ( trident) is the origin of the name of Shoolagiri village.
• The six lane National Highway 44 passes by the village.
• A huge estate created as Shoolagiri Layby for traffic on this highway.
