cuts to Reece lookingtowardanemptychair.Outside hisfosterparentandhissocial workerare sat

Fosterdad: five times.
Social worker:I know.
Fosterdad: Five timesthey’ve lethimdownlike this.All he wantstodois meethisreal parent.
Social worker:Well maybe itwill workoutbetternexttime.
Fosterdad: yeah.Nexttime.
(The fosterdadand Reece are in the car drivingbackto theirhome FosterdadlooksovertoReece)
Fosterdad: Sorry,buddymaybe they’ll show upnexttime

Reece:It’snothing
Fosterdad: Come onI knowsomething’supwithyoujusttell me maybe Ican help
Reece:Ijust reallywishedthatIcould have seenmyparenttoday
Fosterdad: lookI’msorrytheydidn’tshow upbut I was thinkingthatmaybe we shouldstopthese
meetings
Reece:what?!Why?!
Fosterdad: Because theynevershowupandthenyouendup as upsetas youare now maybe you

son isproperlycoveredwithablanketashe isasleeponthe sofa. The letterbox goesoff makingthe
dad go to the frontdoor. He findsa letteronthe floorhe picksit up andopensit.It is fromReece’s
parentwhowants to meethimagain.Fosterdadlooksat the parent’s picture before lookingbehind
himand exitingoutof the doorto the bin.He considersthisone more time before rippingthe letter
up and throwingitinthe bin)
