Switzerland is concerned about growing intolerance and oppression of religious minorities globally. As a country with a history of upholding human rights and democracy, Switzerland believes more should be done to protect minority groups from discrimination, ensure free and fair trials, and prevent media from stigmatizing religions. Switzerland proposes collaborating with other countries through the UN to address these issues, such as establishing protections for minority religions, providing human rights oversight of countries, and sanctioning nations that violate these principles.

A) Intolerance and stigmatization based on religion or belief against religious minorities and

and ethnic groups including rohingyas, uighur,kurds,palestinians are highly been
oppressed,ravished,enforced disappeared and deported depriving the universal human rights
(article 1,3,4,14,15,17) - homeland,right,dignity, social security,child protection and right to live
in peace in their own country. Religious blasphemy laws, afflictions, terrorism,islamophobia,
extremism, intolerance of opposite minority religion or belief is being in alarming and very
trembling situation to cope up with.
B) On the account of this human offences and human right crisis,switzerland is concerned and
looking into this matter very diplomatically,immensely and carefully .As a nation 68% of christian
faiths,24.0% unaffiliated and 6.5% Non-christian faiths(Muslim,buddhist,jewish,hindu) -
switzerland along had faced a very few religious issues by its own for its nationwide
strong,active and up to date human right practice, democracy and accountability. Few
occurrence including the canton of Ticino’s ban on face coverings in public places,police in the
canton detained a woman for wearing a niqab and a man for protesting the ban,is strictly
handled and tamed by the swiss government with it’s clear and concise internal social security
and policy.However Islamic organizations reported an increase in anti-Muslim sentiment
throughout the europe which they attributed to the rise of ISIS and terror attacks in Brussels and
Nice.On the contrary,switzerland is a country ranked 10th and 5th position on global democracy
and Press freedom index,2018(The Economist Intelligence Unit-EIU) .Switzerland believes
there is more to do with western and american media who try to stigmatize and generalize any
terror attack blaming muslims or any minority groups without any free and open trial which
violates the UDHR article - 11

agreements to address and discuss the burning and sensitive issues to make out a solution

human rights.

to work into minority groups to ensure their rights
4.Children,women and affected groups should get free and fair public trail to get proper
judgement
5.Any media can’t stigmatize and characterize any religion,group or special sections as
extremist, terrorist or in any kind of inhuman/discriminate manner
6.If any country consider their social security and protection of it’s people discriminated by
religion,races or groups should answer for it in front of the UN itself
7. Every member country should have to ensure the voting power of their minority groups
regardless of religion,gender,race,ethnicity
8.Free and fair trial should be conducted within 60 days if any criminal offenses occurred
against the minority groups based on religion or belief
9.Countries following human rights only by paper but not in action should get urged and proper
steps against their unresponsive deeds
10.Any country denying with this treaty should get economic,political and financial inclosure by
other member countries
