STR calculates revenue credits for trades. A revenue credit is best considered as a commission
on a trade, giving a value to the “quality” of the trade. STR handles Debt trades only. Equity trades do
not require RC calculation and are passed to PCR directly from upstream applications.
Trades are fed to STR from a variety of upstream sources into STR after which they are enriched and
the RC is calculated. Once RCs are calculated, the trades are passed to PCR from where they are
reported. Each trade sent to STR can feature one or more RC events, each of which represent an event
on the trade which has generated an RC value. Each of the events is represented as a separate record in
PCR. As such, the RC date for an RC event in PCR is used as the trade date in PCR.
It contains 3 Entities:
Trade Manager: The Trade Manager is used to update existing trades, create new trades (known as
“manual” trades) and upload new trades from spreadsheets (known as “blotters”).
Exception Manager: The Exception Manager is used to administer business exceptions which are
thrown on trades should it not be possible to calculate an RC.
Aspen Eye: The Aspen Eye RC tool is used to update schedules (used in RC calculation) and also to
view how the RC on any one trade was calculated.

Designed JSPs as per the requirements.
Implemented Form Beans and their Validations.
Involved in writing Services and DAO’s as per the requirements.
