CAREER CHRONICLE
Since June’07 with Essar Steel India Ltd, Mumbai
Presently as Joint General Manager – Finance & Accounts
Essar is conglomerate with Investment in sectors of steel, energy, infrastructure and services. Essar Steel
is one of the largest integrated steel company with annual capacity of 10 mtpa and pellet making capacity
of 18 mtpa.
Significant Contributions & Roles:-
• Involved in various fund raising proposals – project loan, term loans & working capital debts. Includes
submission of proposal and follow with banks for the getting sanctions.
• Working Capital management and trade finance includes arranging Lcs, buyer’s credit, Bank guarantee,
LC bill discounting at competitive rates and other working capital requirement.
• Overseeing fund management & payment activities to maximize firm's liquidity and mitigates operational,
financial & reputational risk.
• Monitoring the activities related to collections, disbursements of funds. Allocation of funds to various
business units to improve the operational and financial efficiency of the company.
• Preparation and overseeing of various MIS reports, annual and monthly budgets, Cash flow and fund
flow for various business units. Consolidation of various MIS reports for company at corporate level and
submission of the same to management.
• Involved in development of Information Memorandum for Project appraisal & financial projections for
raising funds, includes the preparation of CMA data, negotiation of term sheets, negotiation of
documentation, security creation and ensuring the compliances of the covenants of the debt
• Involved in finalisation & Execution of Loan documents, Interaction with Lenders Legal Counsel and
various other stake holders.
• Involved in reviewing the export document and negotiation of the same with banks. Tracking of export
documents and follow-up with banks for realisation of export proceeds. Obtaining export realisation
certificate from banks for getting the export benefits. Submission of ETX forms with RBI for delay in
getting export proceeds.
• Involved in supervising functions of Finance & Accounts Department in highly automated and
computerized environment.
• Preparing presentations for Banks, Board of directors and other stake holders.
