This presentation discusses the Climate Refugees Housing Project in Bangladesh, one of the country's mega projects. The project will rehabilitate over 4,409 families displaced by cyclones by building 139 five-story buildings and developing a tourist zone. • This project known as Khuruskul Asrayan project/ shekh
Hasina Asrayan Prokolpo
• This project now considered as the world's biggest climate
refugee rehabilitation project
• The most beneficiaries are mostly the victims of the 1991‟s
devastating cyclone
• Over 4,409 poor families who lost their homes to the
climate induced disaster will get home under this project
• Under this project total 139 five-storied buildings and a
tourist zone will be built.

14. Current Status of this project
• Among 139 five-storied building, construction work on
20 buildings is almost done
• On 23rd july 2020, The Prime minister Sheikh Hasina
inaugurated the 20 five-storied structures constructed
in the first phase
• Keys were handed to 600 families who can shift to
houses in a settlement 3 kilometers (2 miles) from
Cox's Bazar city center immediately.
• Remaining 119 multi-storied buildings would be
completed through preparation of separate Detail
