MaCher USA, a creative product agency, announced today that they have
become a Certified B Corporation, also known as a B Corp.

B Corps are certified by the non-profit organization, B Lab, and held to the
highest standards in social and environmental performance, transparency, and
accountability.
B Corps are important because they inspire all businesses to compete not only
to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world. It’s like Fair Trade
certification but for the whole business, not just the bag of coffee.
MaCher joins a growing global movement of over 1,200 certified businesses from
more than 60 industries in 34 counties, helping redefine success in business by
using the power of business as a force for good.
Using an innovative benchmarking process, B Lab measured MaCher’s business
practices and how they impact all stakeholders including their employees,
suppliers, community and the environment.
Derek Hydon, President of MaCher, states “At our core, MaCher has always
focused on being a great employer while at the same time giving back. Now
we have compelling resources to help us move the needle further, through the
help of the B Lab team and hundreds of like-minded B Corps. We believe this is
not only good business practice, but also good for our clients and industry
partners.”
Behind the scenes, MaCher is working hard to promote a greater awareness of
their B Corp mission, as well as foster improved social and more eco conscious
initiatives for their clients.
With their North American business operating carbon neutral the past 6 years,
MaCher is currently developing a program to provide customers with a low cost
option to offset the impact (carbon footprint) of products purchased via its
partnership with The Conservation Fund “Go Zero” program.
On the product front, MaCher is bringing new and innovative reusable and
repurposed packaging solutions to the market. Director of Sales, Brian
Hollowaty, emphasizes: "No longer is it merely about using sustainable materials,
2. but it's also important to put a secondary use or function into every design. We
are developing several new products that represent the next stage in
packaging evolution.”
