16. • Minister LGE&RD chaired a high level meeting and agreed on establishing
Task Force on Dairy Science Park; approved Rs.200 m for Slaughter-house
• Additional Chief Secretary appreciated DSP as “the innovative idea of the LG
regarding establishment of Dairy Science Park at Peshawar to provide hygienic
food production to the whole province
• Chief Minister KP approved Task Force for DSP on 2-8-2018; notification
pending at Agriculture Department

21. Task Force on Dairy Science Park
Functions
•To identify and analyze the barriers across the food value chain comprising milk, milk,
eggs, fruits and vegetables, with special focus on SMEs facilities
•To monitor and oversee the ongoing ADP project worth Rs.200 million, on slaughter
house ensuring forward and backward linkages
•To work with District Administration Peshawar and Food Safety Authority to improve the
Biorisk Management and pricing mechanism for supporting entrepreneurship.
•To be provided a grant of Rs.50 million as an Endowment and further financial
assistance will be explored to support entrepreneurship dev and establishment of
AgriMarts & Community Centers through Academia-Industry Linkages/ORIC offices.
•To work on implementation of the work-plans provided under the MoUs and
collaborations initiated by the DSP, with various research, development, finance and
business organizations within the country and abroad.

• The Task Force will work on Public Private Partnership for revival of redundant assets
in the private and public sectors through sustainable operations.
• Engaging the qualified youth through entrepreneurship development and continuation
of the international conference series of DSP
• To help safeguard public health with special focus on health of consumers; biorisk
management across the food value chain
• Increasing competitive power, improving quality and productivity; and innovation,
commercialization in research
• Implementation of Sustainable Agenda 2030 of the UN and SDG Action 9671 covering
Food Security, Health Safety, Women Empowerment and Decent Employment
