difference between myth and
fact. FACT is an actual reality.
MYTH is a think ,that people
thinks themselves, it is
correct. Because they hear it
from everybody.
 Myth is actually like fairy tale, everything in it is not
reality but is not false. Here is an perfect example for
myth and fact.
 Myth is not a false one, but it hides the real truth. From
the above picture you would have clearly understand

dental myths now:

4.  You may hear this from almost everybody. By cleaning
the teeth you will loose the strength of teeth.
Absolutely NO. Cleaning is done around the tooth
structure, especially in gums. If stains is present
cleaning will be done over the teeth gently.
 This will not make teeth to loose their strength, infact
after cleaning, tooth will get more strengthened.
During cleaning process we will remove the dirt
between the teeth, so you will a gap in between. But it
is a healthy gap and it will close by its own. So do not
restrict yourselves from doing scaling. Scaling for once
in 6 months is best

5.  This is another myth among parents. Yes milk teeth
falls off naturally, but we should save them if they
are decayed. Milk teeth will erupt into oral cavity by
6 months and falls off around 13 yrs.
 For example, if your 8 years old child have decayed
tooth and if you are not treating it, your child will
eat all their healthy foods with that decayed teeth
for next 6 years.
 This is not good for child health also. So wake up ,
please treat your child milk teeth with correct
treatment.

extraction. Tooth and eye has indirect connection and
no direct connection. so tooth extraction will not affect
eye sight.
 And tooth extraction will not leads to change in your
facial structure. It may leads to facial change ,when
you are not replacing it for longtime.
 Immediately after extraction you may feel some
difference in your face, but it is temporary only. Kindly
do not believe in this myth and spoil your dental
health

7.  This is a very critical myth. We can do dental
treatment during pregnancy. Most preferably first 3
months. After 5 months we will not undergo
extraction.
 Other than that filling, cleaning can be done during
pregnancy. In case of pain, we will prescribe
medications with much less dose without affecting
baby and mother. So do not avoid dental treatment
during pregnancy if need.

for 2 minutes once daily with correct technique it is
good and useful.
