Responsibilities:
Conducting survey of losses of myriad and varied nature which, to name a few, relates to Breakdown of
Industrial Generators, Compressor, Electrical & Mechanical Heavy equipments viz. Boiler, Transformer, Pumps
and allied machinery, etc. at National Thermal Power Corporation.
 Collating and assessing risk information on site; using templates to record assessments and collecting
photographic evidence.
 Preparing and proofreading detailed reports and presentations for underwriters; making recommendations to
underwriters about required improvements.
 Advising clients on-site and discussing opportunities and requirements to reduce the level of risk, or
introducing the need for risk improvement programmers.
 Allocating quality grades to the client once improvements have been completed; accompanying underwriters
on site visits to help them understand the practicalities of the site;
 Liaising with other professionals, e.g. underwriters, brokers, client representatives, inspectors.
 Keeping up to date with technical aspects affecting risks, e.g. trade processes, legislation, hazardous
materials.
 Significant Highlights
 Played a key role in settling many claims which are:
o Loss of ‘Hydra Machine’ on repair basis of motor claim recently with M/s Skipper ltd., Kolkata
around Rs. 2, 89,200.00 approx. The Insured have agreed and submitted the consent regarding
that. The broker (M/s Salasar Services, Kolkata) also agreed with same settlement. The
underwriter is also happy on settlement. Similarly, another motor claim ‘TATA LPS4018 TC/A-
TRAILER’ of M/S Shiv Sankar Road Lines Corporation has also settled around Rs. 2, 54,510.00.
The consent/agreement of the same has been collected. The underwriter is satisfied.
 Took structured and meticulous approach in assign assessing motor claim (Estimated Amount) Rs. 5,49,593.00
to Rs. 2,54,510.00 of M/S Shiv Sankar Road Lines Corporation, Kolkata & Rs. 3,78,919.00 (Estimated Amount)
to Rs. 2,89,200.00 on cash loss basis.

 Successfully conducted the risk assessment of the engineering claims at N.T.P.C., SHAKTINAGAR, U.P., India
as well as at Vindyachal Super Thermal Power Project, Baidhan, M.P., India.
 Conduct post repair inspection report after completion of repair & submitted to underwriter/Insurer along
with Claim Survey Report.
