• SH, 50 yo RHD Maths teacher.
• Dx of BIH from 1980s. Exsmoker and was on OCP.
• Failed therapy!
• Presented with worsening “high pressure” H/A, colour
disturbance, new central scotoma on the left, bilateral
papilloedema.
• Admitted for ICP monitoring.
• Underwent venous manometry.

• A total of 161 patients. 52 patients came from
1 case series (Australian).
• All stenoses occurred and were stented at the
transverse sinus.
• All patients had pre- and post- Rx venogram
and manometry.
