Rosemont, Illinois
Chicago, Ill. — IBS Global Consulting, a global management consulting firm
headquartered in Troy, Michigan, will host a seminar for small and medium-sized
companies looking to expand into new markets. The event will take place on Thursday,
October 13, 2016 in Rosemont, Illinois.
With 96 percent of the world’s consumers living outside the United States, many small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are seeking international markets to increase
revenues and win new customers.
Going Global Seminar is a full-day event that brings together SMEs from various
sectors with government and industry experts to discuss the opportunities and
challenges of doing business abroad. The event will focus on strategies to expand into
new regions around the world, with a particular focus on Canada, Mexico, and
emerging markets including China and India.
Speakers will discuss best practices for going global, how to select markets that will
yield the greatest return on investment, how to safeguard against risk, and key steps for
developing a successful export strategy. Participants will have an opportunity to
network and meet one-on-one with the speakers immediately following the seminar.
Guest speakers include, Darcee Munroe, Senior Trade Commissioner at Consulate
General of Canada in Chicago, Jose’ Robles-Michelena, Mexico Business Manager at
Miller Canfield, Eduard Ekel, Detroit Regional Director at Export-Import Bank of the
United States, and Harry Lepinske, Chairman of the Central Asia Productivity
Research Center, among others.
