Special Types of accounts are for special types of customers and there are few types of
special customer. Such as

3. Special Account Opening
Account opening of minor: A minor is a person who has not attained to the age of 18 years. Accounts of minor may
be opened, which shall be operated by his/her legal guardian up to the date of his/ her attaining majority ( that
means till 18 years). The legal guardian can be his/her parents or according to the court order. In minor account only
the legal guardian can make transactions. For the account opening of minor required documents are ,
a. Copy of birth certificate and photo of the minor.
b. NID and photo of the legal guardian.

4. Special Account Opening
2.Purdanashin Ladies : Accounts of Purdanashin Ladies shall not be opened unless under special
circumstances and they have been properly introduced & identified by a respectable party known and
acceptable to the Bank. Accounts of illiterate Purdanashin Ladies shall not be opened under any
circumstances.
3. Illiterate Persons : Illiterate person can open and operate accounts under his/her thumb impression in
presence of Branch Manager/Authorized Bank Officials. Bank may introduce Biometrics, Iris Recognition,
Facial Recognition for identification and during account opening and cash withdrawal. For withdrawal of
money the illiterate person/persons must come personally and shall put thumb impression on the cheques
in presence of Branch Manager/Authorized Official where he/she opened the account.

4. Blind Persons: Blind person can be allowed to open account. Such accounts should be carefully handled by the
Bank. For withdrawal of money the blind person must come personally and put his/her thumb
impression/signature on the cheques in the presence of Branch Manager/Authorized Officials where he/she
opened the account.
5. Underprivileged Persons : Special care to be taken for the people who are financially or socially
disadvantaged people such as street children account, farmer’s account & other no-frill accounts

6. PEP and IP : For account opening of PEP and IP we need permission from our CAMLCO. In this case CDD
(Customer Due Diligence) and EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) is necessary. We need to collect information
about them from reliable and neutral sources. We must verify their source of fund. We must monitor their
transactions regularly to prevent money laundering.

7. Service For Special Customers
Special take care should be taken for these customers like , we can make a separate counter
for them so that they can take service with priority . We have to keep patience while opening
their account. For account opening and transaction of purdanashin ladies ,we should verify
them by female employee.
