Social media allows people to connect and share information through virtual communities and networks. Popular social media platforms include Facebook, which allows users to connect with friends, share photos and videos, and see what others have posted. Twitter is similar but users "follow" others instead of adding them as friends and can post within 160 characters. Snapchat allows users to send photos and videos to friends that disappear after 10 seconds, and view friends' stories of photos and videos throughout the day. Overall, social media has made a large impact on society by providing new ways for people to stay connected.

 Facebook is one of the most popular, common social media apps that
there are.
 It’s a way of keeping up with old friends, sharing photos and videos,
and share what others have posted.
 It even has a messenger app that comes along with it so you can
message your friends privately kind of like a text message.

4. TWITTER
 Similar to Facebook, Twitter is another popular social media especially
for teens, young adults, and famous celebrities.
 You can keep up with old friends, sports, politics, and worldly things.
 The difference between Facebook and Twitter is that you “follow”
people instead of add them as friends.
 You can also upload pictures, post within 160 characters, and short
videos.

5. SNAPCHAT
 Just like Facebook, on Snapchat you add friends.
 You can send pictures or videos to your friends for up to 10 seconds.
 If the picture is hilarious chances are your friends will screenshot it so
they can have it for a later occasions such as a birthday or just to flat
out embarrass you with it.
 You can also view people’s stories which is a series of videos or pictures
they’ve added to it throughout the day.

6.  Social Media has made a huge impact on today’s society and will
continue to progress over time to maintain ways to stay in touch with
others. Thanks to social media life has been less boring.
