PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Lynn Mangum has spent most of her professional life in the financial industry from banking to small business
owner to being employed to handle the day to day finances of a small physical therapy clinic. The banking
industry laid a firm foundation of conservative financial principles and practices. Through the years as a small
community banker, she gained knowledge in the basic operations of small business. While providing for the
needs of these business owners, the knowledge of their operations and how it evolved into the marketplace
followed. Also this entailed knowledge of the business cycle and cash flow needs.

through not only her banking experience but personal experience as a business owner. She is responsible for
the handling of all cash received into the clinic through patient and insurance payments. Lynn is also
responsible for accounts payable and receivable. Through her endeavors, the total number of past due
accounts is at an all time low. All financial data is entered into QuickBooks and appropriate reports generated
for the clinic owners and accountant.
Lynn was co-owner of a small company whose major enterprise was buying and selling used railroad rail from
Burlington Northern Railroad. This was the major focus of the company for approximately ten years then the
company changed direction and began importing and selling granite and marble from China. As co-owner, her
duties entailed administration and bookkeeping duties for the company. The company ceased doing business
in 2008.
Lynn’s banking experience encompassed approximately twenty years in various small community banks.
Experience included commercial lending, trust, retirement accounts, marketing, business development and
administration. Lynn was a member of a team of five people who applied for and was granted a bank charter
by the Federal Reserve. As a co-founder of Bank of the Southwest, Roswell, New Mexico, she served as Sr.
Vice President and her primary duties were in administration.
After leaving Bank of the Southwest, Lynn completed three bank consulting assignments in the former Soviet
Union. The first two assignments were in Almaty, Kazakhstan. These assignments were shortly after the fall of
communism and the assignments were to assist two different banks with the challenge of westernizing their
bank accounting systems. The third assignment was in Krasnodar, Russia and consisted of interviewing and
writing reports on various small business clients who were part of the of the bank’s leasing company.
Lynn has attended West Texas A & M University and Eastern New Mexico University both majoring in
