STORYBOARDING
Notes: A long shotof the two singers for the
magazine, done in the photography studio so it
emulates a photoshoot (when doingmy
audienceresearch, photoshoots seemed
popular). With the two females lookinginto the
camera to create direct address – possibly could
use as the front cover.
Notes: A closeup shot of the females’ faces –
lyingdown on the floor with their heads slightly
facingeach other. This will createa senseof
closeness with the artists and the audienceas
you can only emulate this closeness in person.
This could possibly featureon the double page
spread,
Notes: Sincemy magazinewill be Rock, it could
be a good idea if some imagery contains
movement i.e. a hair whip, jumpingin the air etc.
This may also connoteRock n’ Roll as a whole as
it is acclaimed for its wildness.Pictures likethis
could feature on the contents page as I believe it
would intriguethe audiencedue to its
rebelliousness –thus resultingin them wanting
to read on.
Notes: Another idea for a photo could be close
up shots of the electric guitar. This approach is
more artsy as I am focusingon characteristicsof
the guitar and it could work as my target
audienceevidently enjoy Rock music,therefore
guitars (as itis a symbolic instrumentin Rock).
On the other hand, however, it may be a waste
of spaceon the page as the audience aremore
likely wantingto see the singers/bands.
