Innovative-Film-Solutions S.L. has invented a new innovative window film AW® in 2014,
worldwide patent pending.
AW® has been created due to the necessity of satisfying the demands of the market for true
alternatives, which can compete with polystyrene, both concerning quality and price. The only
product in the world made for the envelope market.
AW® is made out of two layers – copolymer/polypropylene. The special features of AW® are:
- Higher density vs. polystyrene, thus a yield advantage of min. 15 % when compared to
the same caliper of polystyrene
- Perfect OCR legibility in high-speed and high-capacity sorting/inserting equipment.
- AW® has appropriate mechanical properties in all standard converting machines. Minor
adjustments might be necessary at the initial set-up (changing the angle of the knives).
- There is no electric static or dust build-up
- Optimal performance at all speed levels from 400 up to 1750 envelopes/minute
- Suitable in all converting machines and for every size of window
- AW® window films are BPA-free, free of phthalates, 100 % recyclable
AW® window films have been approved for converting, runnability, printability, assorting and in
inserting-machines as well as all major postal companies, among others by:
- W&D, F.L. Smithe
- Eukalin, HB Fuller, Henkel
- INX
- USPS, Deutsche Post, Royal Mail, LaPoste
AW® window films are available in a wide range of calipers and finishes, beginning at 1.05 mil
up to 1.25 and even 2.0 mil; finishes are available in matt, matt/glossy (for Europe).
In Europe, AW® window film is one of the leading brands and already sold in Russia as well as
some South American countries.
Here, in the US, AW® window film is used by a growing number of envelope converters, a good
part of them members of our EMA-family.
