37. MY WAY
And now the end is near I ate it up and spit it out
And so I face the final curtain I faced it all and I stood tall
My friend, I'll say it clear And did it my way
I'll state my case of which I'm certain I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've lived a life that's full I've had my fill, my share of losing
I traveled each and every highway And now as tears subside
And more, much more than this I find it all so amusing
I did it my way To think I did all that
Regrets, I've had a few And may I say, not in a shy way
But then again, too few to mention Oh no, oh no, not me
I did what I had to do I did it my way
And saw it through without exemption For what is a man, what has he got?
I've planned each charted course If not himself, than he has naugth
Each careful step along the byway To say the things he truly feels
And more, much more than this And not the words of one who
I did it my way kneels
Yes there were times, I'm sure you knew The record shows, I took the blows
When I bit off more than I could chew And did it my way
But through it all when there was doubt
