Research Assistant January 2013 – Present
 Designing a MAV scale cycloidal rotor vehicle capable of target tracking using FPV systems
 Researches the efficiency of camber on a cycloidal rotor using a homemade balance
 Demonstrates the efficiency loss on a cycloidal rotor due to the flexibility of the blades
 Analyzes the material properties of carbon fiber, aluminum, and delrin plastic using VICON motion capture cameras
 Experiments with forward flight capabilities of a cycloidal rotor using an open jet wind tunnel
 Designs parts on CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKS and manufacturing them out of metal, plastic, and carbon fiber using a
personal CNC and a 3D printer

Senior Design Project College Park, MD
Team Leader August 2015 – May 2016
 Lead a team of 4 other students to conduct the preliminary and conceptual design of a mail carrying
airplane capable of carrying up to 1200 lbs. of cargo for up to 500 miles with short takeoff and landing capabilities
 Designed Excel spreadsheets that calculated data used to design the aircraft
 Used CATIA V5 to 3D model different components of the aircraft and produce
 Co-wrote a design report explaining the step-by-step process used to design the aircraft
 Received the highest score out of 6 teams
Flapping Wing Project College Park, MD
Team Leader August 2012 – December 2012
 Lead a team of 3 other students to build a flapping wing out of plastic and foam using a personal CNC
 Isolated aerodynamic forces by flapping the wing in a vacuum using a vacuum chamber
