2. Think and Do
In the Music Department, we catalyze and
embody the University’s Think and Do rubric.
Our Music Minors embody this belief as they
are encouraged to apply their knowledge
through performances and scholarly endeavors.
Likewise, our Arts Entrepreneurship Minor
funnels four “thinking” classes into a significant
“doing” capstone consultation for the region’s
artists, arts organizations, and arts businesses.
We know employers are seeking well-rounded
graduates ready to entering the job market.
The Music Department provides the education
(Thinking) and applied creative opportunities
(Doing) that embeds a life-long understanding of
how creativity permeates careers
in the sciences and humanities.
