Re: Letter of Recommendation
To whom it may concern,
It was my priveledge to work with Loc Nguyen: for over 15 years during his tenure at
Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. During that time we were both members of
the Service Engineering department of the COiPuter Systems Division.
I found Loc to be a very loyal and dedicated member of the Service Engineering team.
Because of his technical expertise, he was often asked to evaluate the most difficult
technical issues presented to our department. When required, he was always willing to
work the extra hours necessary to complete detailed evaluations within the timeframe
demanded by our customers.
Loc's other duties required that he provide technical support to the Advanced Technical
Support Group and the Manufacturing Repair Center. Loc also worked closely with
various other groups within Toshiba America. These groups included Product
Marketing, Marketing Support, Manufacturing QA, and the Computer Systems
Engineering division. Loc was one of the few people who were allowed direct access to
the engineers in Japan. Several times Loc was asked to represent the Service Engineering
department during training that occurred in Japan. All individuals that had contact with
Loc respected his abilities and expertise. He will truly be missed.
I feel Loc will be a valuable asset to any company that chooses to offer him employment.

Letter of Reference for Mr. Loc Nguyen

Human Resource Representative or Department Manager,
Dear Sir or Madam:
Toshiba company policy prevents managers from providing performance references for our employees
and requires that we direct inquiries about previous employment detail to the Human Resources
department. In compliance with that policy I am not representing Toshiba with any of the comments
contained within this letter and I will not provide you with any specific employment information in
reference to Mr. Nguyen. However, I am vary comfortable providing a reference based on my personal
experience with Loc and my observations from the 12 years that we have worked together. I have
been the manager of Service Engineering at TAIS for over 7 years. Prior to that, as a member of the
Computer Systems Engineering group I worked closely with Loc and the rest of the Service
Engineering team.
Loc has been outstanding within the role of a Sr. Service Engineer primarily due to the depth of his
technical knowledge, logical approach to problem solving and an extremely thorough approach to
managing technical projects. He is detail oriented and can be trusted to cover every issue within the
scope of his assignments. He is committed to the quality of his work and will deliver, on time, complete,
accurate, well-supported and clearly documented results. I would add that Loc is a strong asset to a
technical team and has always adapted easily to the roles and assignments most critically required by
the department.
