I have a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences and I currently hold this title at a small
company in the area. I believe that my knowledge and training have outgrown this small
business and I would like put my skills to work for a larger corporation such as yours.
My main responsibility is maintaining a safe and secure network by employing software
protection and other safe guards to ensure all company information and that of its clients
are kept safe. I stay updated on all new technology and have the ability to determine
when upgrades are needed or when new software can benefit the company.
I have experience managing the staff in the IT department to ensure daily operations are
being met. I interviewed and hired new employees and dealt with any problems that
arose within the department. I organized meetings and assisted in developing strategic
plans, timelines and budgets. I helped to develop the standards for the IT department and
I make sure that all staff members followed the company policy.
My duties also include assisting with the development of policies and operating
procedures for the company. I evaluate the proposals for projects to determine how they
will benefit the company and I offer my recommendation as to whether the proposals
should be accepted or rejected. I have excellent customer service skills, the ability to
multi-task and to meet tight deadlines.
