Outlining safe operational practices & procedures to the general workforce, ensuring that all operational
activities are carried out in accordance with Company’s safety policies, statutory regulations & guidelines.
Identifying and reporting various work-site accident hazards, and performing risk assessments designed to
mitigate such. (LTIFR & MTIFR).

Bevline Mechanical Projects – VOPAK Island View Project – 2016
H.S.E Officer for the Blend and Back of Birth plant sites in Durban harbour for VOPAK bulk oil and Petroleum
Storage facility. The Project consists of the refurbishment of the old blend plant as well as installation of new
pipe lines leading to the Port of Durban for export. Contracted for installation and fabrication for mild steel and
stainless steel petroleum and oil lines.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Outline safe operational practices & procedures to the general workforce, ensuring that all operational
activities are carried out.
Preparing, introducing and monitoring concepts, rules & regulations governing occupational health and
safety fire protection and environment protection.
Training site personal in matters related to occupational health and safety protection and accident
prevention in accordance with the pertinent accident prevention regulations.
Planning and monitoring of accident alert rescue services, including first aid service reporting of health
and safety statistics including trend analyses.
Coordination and monitoring of fire prevention and protection concepts during plant construction.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
The implementation of all safety orientation, to monitor the workshop on a weekly basis, provide weekly
inspection reports, investigate and complete all accident/incident reports & investigations in a timely
manner.
I am responsible for initiating and reviewing daily hazards, safety talks and safety committee meetings.
I prepare and present the monthly safety report to senior management for review, monitor safety
