$500,000.00 savings
Curtailed messenger services resulting in more than $20,000.00 a year in savings
Implemented new cross training program for CLS and along with new overtime
guidelines resulted in a reduction of overtime expenses from 80% to 13 %
Revised and implemented new attendance and punctuality policies resulting in substantial
reduction of sick leave use and abuse. Coupled with appropriate disciplinary measures to
maintain morale, fairness and quality of service
Responsible for the implementation of a new blood bank computer system – coordinating
and evaluating employee training
Directed post graduate internship for new CLS and MLT. Develop curriculum to comply
with the California Department of Public Health services and the NACCLS regulation.
Recruited, interviewed and selected intern candidates; coordinated in-services,
teleconferences and lectures. Authored medical laboratory technologist internship
