I am interested in applying for the Assistant Principal position at your campus.
I currently have the pleasure of being the3rd
grade Team Lead at the action campus Bluebonnet
Elementary. Bluebonnet Elementary presents unique challenges due to student population. Our current
enrollment consists of 85% of our population being economically disadvantaged. Our campus also
includes 46% of the population being English language learners. In this unique setting, I have experienced
new challenges and obstacles to overcome that have provided rewarding opportunities and learning
experiences. While at Bluebonnet I have taken on severalleadership positions in which I have grown my
leadership skills through improvement and implementation of campus systems for monitoring student
achievement and progress, hiring staff, facilitating and developing staff development as well as creating a
positive culture for the students, faculty and parents in the school community.
Through my thirteen years of teaching, I have refined my known skills as well as acquired new
knowledge. The unique setting at Bluebonnet has offered me many opportunities to learn and grow as a
leader. My areas of strength include data analysis, facilitation of meeting, the development and
implementation of systems,and behavior management.
