Librarian II (Head Cataloger)
 Efficiently and accurately perform original/copy cataloging in all formats. Resolve
bibliography records and security tag issues. Performed monthly database maintenance
resulting in standardized authority records.
 Schedule upgrades to six different modules within ILS, including setting preferences for the
OPAC and staff modules.
 Standardized bibliography records in the library database, resulting in increased efficiency in
locating materials.
 Answer user’s queries at the reference desk, including the use of online databases,
troubleshooting computer, and digital download issues.
 Responsible for the selection and purchasing of e-book/e-audio and the evaluation and selection
of gift books.
 Trained newly hired staff in copy cataloging, reference, and circulation desk operations.
 Initiated and supervised volunteer projects.
 Created and maintained the library’s blog, “Library Lowdown”.
 Assisted in posting events, reference links, graphics and photos, to the Taos Public Library’s
website.
