Linhdan Nguyen served as a unit representative for the Intermediate Financial Accounting unit in semester two of 2016. As the representative, she gathered feedback from fellow students and worked with other representatives to compile this feedback into two written reports for the unit convener over the course of the semester. Linhdan was proactive in soliciting diverse perspectives and collaborated well with others. To whom it may concern,
Linhdan Nguyen was selected as a unit representative in the unit Intermediate Financial Accounting in
semester two, 2016. The role of the unit representative is to gather feedback on the unit from fellow
students. The representatives then work in groups to communicate that feedback to their unit convenor
in two written reports. The role requires 10-15 hours’ commitment over the course of the semester.
Linhdan was proactive in building rapport with students of diverse backgrounds in order to gain
feedback. She worked constructively with other unit representatives to compile and submit the feedback
in two group reports over the semester. The group expressed the students’ feedback in a professional
and tactful manner, suggesting solutions to many issues raised. Both reports were submitted by the
given deadlines.
Linhdan played a valuable role in giving students in the Faculty of Business and Economics a voice and
in providing teaching staff with important feedback on the unit. Her leadership skills and maturity make
her an excellent candidate for a professional business role.
