1. How to Calculate Sui Gas Bill in Pakistan
1. Gas meter show gas consumed in cubic meters (m3). Subtract previous reading from
current reading to get current month's consumed units.
Current reading - Previous reading = Monthly units
e.g. 05532-05419=113 cubic meter
2. Divide cubic meters to 100 to get monthly gas reading in cubic hectometers (Hm3).
e.g. 113/100=1.13 Hm3
3. GCV is given on gas bill (for example, it is 933 in this case).
Now to calculate MMBTU, you have to multiply this GCV to consumed units in Hm3 and
divide by 281.7358
4. Now it is the final step to get gas bill. Multiply consumed gas in MMBTU to respective slab
rate.
1. Subtract the previous meter reading (obtained from your last bill) from the current
reading on your meter.
2. Multiply the result by 2.83 to obtain the volume used in cubic meters. This step is not
required for customers with a metric (m3) gas meter(s).
3. Multiply this number by the calorific value* shown on your invoice in MJ/m3.
4. Multiply the result by the meter correction factor shown on your invoice.
5. Divide the result by 3.6 to obtain the number of kilowatt hours (kWh) used.
Multiply this number by the pence per kWh rate to obtain the approximate cost of gas you
have used
