11. Shipping
To ensure the delivery of the collection we have
decided to go with shipping company UPS. They
are industry pioneers in terms is sustainability
efforts, “by us using fuel-reduction strategies in
our entire fleet of 110,000 ground vehicles -
things like technology powered route planning to
eliminate excess mileage and create reductions”

sustainability benefits, UPS has a variety of
different methods to transport goods with air
land and sea all covered.
12. Materials
The H&M X FILA collection will be made from upcycled eco friendly
materials. During the design process of the World Cup Over-Shirt,
polyester was considered as a potential material that could be used
to make the garment, as many vintage FILA pieces are made from
this material. However further research into the material has found
that Prost production, it is considered as an environmentally harmful
fabric. “The microfibres of polyester still have 100% of the same
impact whether they’re from recycled sources or not” -Vogue. This
means that as polyester is washed it sheds microfibres that are
harmful to the environment with every wash. This resulted in a
different selection of fabric. Recycled cotton was chosen as the ideal
candidate for the body of the garment. Even though the fabric is
regarded as scare-sly available through the supply chain, up cycling
existing FILA garments that are made from cotton is the best option
as it has the required properties. As the collection is a fashion line
and not a sportswear for performance range, the cotton in the over
shirt will provide the garment with flexibility, whilst being soft which
gives the wearer a comfy feel. It will be manufactured in the same
factory as the utility pants and as stated will be made from recycled
cotton.

The lead time on this garment will be 14 weeks. They will be
released alongside the pants on the 1st of August. Factors
that could affect the lead time on this garment could be the
dying of the fabric, as it will be released in 3 colourways, 1
core and 2 fashion styles, the dying of the fabric for the
fashion styles could extend the lead time by up to another
week.
Utility Pants
The Utility pants will have the same lead time as the
overshirt, 14 weeks. However this is dependent on the
factories ability to fulfill the orders in line with the
specification. A factor that could lead to the extension of the
lead times could be sourcing the materials to make the
garments. As they are made from upcycled fabric. If there
are issues with sourcing materials this could extend the lead
times for up to 6 additional weeks per garment, Bringing the
lead times to 20 weeks each.
