Sculpture is a branch of visual art that is three-dimensional. It has height,
width, and depth.

Freestanding
A type of sculpture that is surrounded on all sides by space. Ex. Statutes of People
Relief
A type of Sculpture in which forms and figures are projected from the front only.
Ex. On the wall of a building.
3. Sculpting Method
1. Carving: In carving, the sculptor starts with a block of material and cuts or
chips a shape from it. Often a hard material like stone is used.
2. Casting: In casting, the sculptor starts by making a mold. He or she then
pours in a melted-down metal or some other liquid that will later harden.
3. Modeling: In modeling, the sculptor builds and shapes a soft material. Clay
and fresh plaster are two such materials.
4. Assembling: In assembling, also known as constructing, the sculptor glues or
in some other way joins together pieces of material.

the method that you have chosen.
Submit your output to your instructor on November 3, 2022. The late output will
still be accepted but with a deduction of points depending on how many days it is
late.
Remember that this is your midterm Exam. Whatever score you will receive will
greatly affect your Final Average Grade.
