Experience Something Different (ESD) develops, designs and delivers real-world field trips
for Key Stage 3-5 pupils. We support UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development goals
while tailoring each trip to your school’s curricular and extracurricular requirements.
We work with teachers and listen to students, building you an unforgettable day of cultural
capital and Learning Outside the Classroom.
Inspiring Positive Change
Climate, curriculum and career: we introduce students
to the people, businesses and organisations at the heart
of sustainable change.
We create a unique opportunity for young people to
engage with business, charities and government leaders
personally; to question; learn from and challenge business
and sustainability leaders.
Our goal is to inspire young people by introducing
them to the individuals and organisations focused on,
and committed to, making a sustainable difference.
We help students uncover diverse opportunities where
sustainability and creativity meet. We prove that working
together towards a sustainable future is rewarding and
exciting for young people.
Climate
We work with teachers to inspire students to become the
new champions of sustainability.
Curriculum
We set your students up for exam success. Our custom
built, educational field-trips meet your specific learning
objectives and deliver a practical application of UNESCO’s
Education for Sustainable Development initiative.

offering students a behind-the-scenes insight into current
sustainable practices, emerging and future trends.
The organisations that we partner with share their
thinking, knowledge and expertise to encourage your

3. We design our field-trips to address AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL and WJEC syllabuses in all subjects.
Teachers can choose from one of our established field-trip programmes, or we can work
with you to develop a bespoke trip for your students. Here are just a few of the field trips
ESD is currently running:
Sustainability Safari: “Pioneers in A New Economy”
subjects: geography, business, stem
Visit some of the country’s most innovative start-ups and
sustainable businesses. We explore local government and
business initiatives as well as experiencing the sounds,
sights and tastes of the sustainable future.
Permaculture Explorers: “Garden Craft & Cooking Culture”
subjects: geography, business, stem, home economics
We visit a permaculture farm and hear from a team of experts
about sustainable farming, environmental impact and building
practices. Depending on the time of year, students tour the farm
and participate in planting, brick making and woodwork projects.
Start-up Showcase: “Entrepreneur for The Day”
subjects: business, economics, marketing, design, stem
Workshops and talks by leaders in the city’s start-up ecosphere:
we undertake the step-by-step process of getting a business off
the ground by using real-world examples and professional insight
to engage and inspire budding eco-entrepreneurs.
Stories of The City: “Urban Pasts & Futures”
subjects: english, media, journalism, history, drama
Take a curriculum-driven walking tour around London with
practical writing exercises on sustainable subjects along the way.
The trip includes author insights and the modern writer’s take on
the purpose of writing in the post-print era.
Street Art: “From Canvas to Concrete & Back Again”
subjects: art, design, media
Take a walking and gallery tour with a renowned local street
artist around multiple locations. We work with young people to
illustrate how art can raise awareness of sociopolitical issues and
encourage students to express themselves through art.
Social Entrepreneurship: “Business as A Force For Good”
subjects: business, philosophy, ethics, stem
We explore companies in the sharing and experience economy
running their businesses for more than just profit. The trip
includes a presentation from a local government expert and a
