1. Hello! and thanks for visiting Hollier’s Flooring America’s FACEBOOK page!
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lenee Hicks.
I recently joined Hollier’s Flooring America in Interior Design Consultation & Sales.
While I did not grow up in this area, I did finish high school in Lafayette and, once I
figured out what my true passion was, I returned to college seeking a degree in
Interior Design. I completed my formal education at USL (now UL-Lafayette) in
May 1994 and then moved to San Antonio, TX to begin my design career.
After 21 years of practicing design (with an emphasis in flooring and remodeling),
I have recently moved back to the Lafayette area to reconnect with family. I am
looking forward to continuing my design career at Hollier’s and am anxious to assist
you with your remodel project!
Please take a moment to look over the attached photos which highlight a few of
my more recent design projects!
BEFORE AFTER
Removing the dated awnings and cutting back the overgrown shrubbery really opened it up!
New paint colors and the new roof accent the original architecture to create a beautiful façade.
A three-color pallet was used to highlight and enhance the beautiful architectural details.
2. BEFORE AFTER
The white on white color pallet did nothing to highlight the custom millwork. Given the height of
the ceilings and the openness of the space, the room was certainly large enough to handle a
rich color pallet without making it feel dark and oppressive.
BEFORE AFTER
The curio cabinets flanking each side of the doorway into the den were opened up to allow more
light into the otherwise dark family room. The old accordion-fold doors were also removed to
further open up the space. Rather than a dark, exclusive “man-cave” the new family room is
warm and inviting!
3. Guest Bath Re-Do!
BEFORE AFTER
This was a particularly fun project! For less than $200 this bathroom was
brought from gaudy and dated to a sophisticated 1920’s vibe! The ceiling is papered in
a metallic leopard-print and the beveled frame details in the doors are captured by
painting the rest of the door in a satin black. The original 4x4 off-white floor tiles work
well when contrasted with the richer colors on the ceiling, walls and woodwork.
Former Gun Cabinet ~ Sitting Room for “him” …
BEFORE
The “sitting room” off of the master bedroom held a massive, custom gun cabinet; however
there was little to no closet space for the master bedroom.
4. DURING
The sitting room was walled off from the master bedroom (completely) and the entrance to the
newly created space was moved into the master bath.
The result …
A beautiful boudoir for “her”!
