Started ● Start -> November 2015 ● Projects based on positive values ... ● Five people involved for far: ○ 2 developers, ○ 1 evangelist, ○ 1 student, ○ 1 CTO ● Asap: european freelancers, on a per project basis. ● Current focus on software (Readium) ○ enabler Openness Interoperability Accessibility
  3. 3. Communication / EPUB & Readium ● This EPUB Summit ● Participation to e-publishing events in Europe ● Website / news, articles and EPUB tools reviews ● F2F meetings with members and to-be members ● Efforts to convince members to become active Readium or IDPF contributors
  4. 4. Readium maintenance ● Participation to the maintenance of the Chrome extension and SDK ● Android toolchain ● Continuous build and automated testing

Readium LCP ● Workshops (high-level / technical) ● Client development (thanks to Mantano/DRM Inside/TEA contributions) ● Participation to the Server development (thanks to DeMarque contribution) ● Certification (contractual matters,) ● Automated compliance testing ○ with DRM Inside More on LCP during the workshop
  6. 6. Mobile sample apps ● Thanks to NYPL large contribution (Library Simplified) ● iOS and Android ● LCP support ● Very simple functionalities (bookmarks, basic search & annotations) ● Testbed for EPUB evolutions
  7. 7. Desktop app prototype ● Read an EPUB 3 publication by a simple double-click ● Windows, MacOS, Linux ● LCP support ● Hybrid technologies, will rely on JS code from the Cloud Reader
  8. 8. Readium documentation ● SDK, LCP client, LCP server ● High level, tutorials ● Detailed in-source documentation
