A humorous look at what parents' last words must say before calling a tech support professional who can come to their home to fix whatever their precious child has messed up - or who can sell them new equipment if it's not fixable.

Top 10 Things Parents Say Before Calling Rich Tech Group_Lauren Methena
1. Top 10 Things Parents Say Before Calling RTG
Maybe not surprisingly, many of the residential computer emergency calls Rich Technology Group has fielded over the
years have come from parents. There's something about having kids (although all it takes is one kid) around a bright,
blinking thing with lots of buttons to push that could spell "disaster."
We can only imagine what some of those parents must have said before calling
us.
Top 10 Things Parents Say Before Calling RTG
10. Wait! Didn't you have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich just a second
ago?
9. Aww! How cute! You want to help me type.
8. Why is my monitor image upside down?
7. I think she's done. Will you hold her for a minute while you work, so I can
change her sheets?
6. Where did all my shortcuts go?
5. Oh, my god--how many games did you buy?
4. Honey, I swear--I would never download something like that. The kids
must have done it!
3. Where did all these Dora the Explorer videos come from? And where are
my work files?
2. What do you mean, "Laptop go splash"?
1. I didn't even know my computer could do that!
(NOTE: If item 10, 7, or 2 happens to you, don't bother calling us, unless it's to
buy a new computer. There are some things we just can't fix.)
Of course, most non-kid related computer emergencies are preventable, and
2. we're proponents of calling us BEFORE you create an emergency for yourself.
If you're not comfortable with doing your own computer scans and anti-
malware updates, consider calling us to come out on a regular basis--maybe
2-4 times a year, depending on your needs. You don't want to unknowingly
"create" an emergency by not having up-to-date protection against viruses or
other preventable tech tragedies.
And by all means, keep those munchkins away from the keyboard--and
heavily supervise them when it is time to watch those Dora and Lightning
McQueen videos.
And if you want to put us on speed dial, the number is 804-767-2136. Call any
time with any questions. We're here to help!
