Nopa Nordic was among the pioneers of eco-labelling, and our own first
eco-labelled product was launched in 1993. Since then we have developed
a comprehensive portfolio of green products – and today Nopa Nordic has

A green smiley for the
working environment
At Nopa Nordic the working environment is not forgotten
in our efforts to reduce our impact on the natural
environment. We are therefore proud that Nopa Nordic
holds the Danish Working Environment Authority’s
green smiley award, in recognition of the company’s
compliance with the Working Environment Authority’s
standards. It is a visible sign of an optimal working
environment.
Sustainable energy and
no optical brighteners
As one of the first consequences of Nopa Nordic’s
focus on the environment, we discontinued the use of
optical whiteners as early as 1996. They are not easily
biodegradable and may provoke allergic reactions, and
for these reasons we simply no longer use them.
We have converted our electricity consumption to
CO2
neutral, sustainable energy sources and we are
continually endeavouring to reduce our discharge of
wastewater. We have our own closed sewage system,
which prevents untreated wastewater from being
discharged into the environment.
