Background & Goals:
Getting inspiration from Stanford’s Advanced Rocket Propulsion class, our team set goals
to build a hybrid rocket engine that can achieve higher thrust for a longer duration. The
goal is to attain 1000 lbf of thrust for a burn time of 20 seconds. The budget is limited to
$4500 to assess the feasibility of achieving these goals at a reasonable cost. The success of
this project will highlight future iterations for the project, to achieve higher thrust for
longer burn times.
