6. TAG Agreements
A Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) guarantees you
admission into the 3rd year of the Bachelor Degree.
Currently, DVC has TAG Agreements with UC Davis, UC
Santa Barbara, UC Merced, UC Irvine, UC Santa Cruz and
UC Riverside
As a DVC student you will need to:
Apply for the TAG in September (1yr in advance)
Will have had to have completed 60 UC transferrable units
You need a certain the GPA ( Grade Point Average) from 2.0 to 3.8.
Be a full time student at DVC when TAG is written

7. IEC – International Education Centre
- Academic English language programs to prepare you for study at DVC.
- Bridge Program for academic readiness at DVC.
ISAS Program: International Student Admissions and Services to help with
orientation, counseling, visas, housing, health and employment.

8. IEC – International Education Center at DVC
Academic English Language Program
• 6 levels from beginners to advanced
• Each level is 8 weeks long
• Student activities program – Continue learning and practising outside the classroom
• Complete the highest level of English at IEC ( Advanced B) and enter DVC directly
without having to take the TOEFL
• 95% of IEC students transfer to DVC or another college/university
• All IEC teachers have a Master degree

9. Academic Bridge Program
• Prepares you for a successful transition to DVC
• Provides academic skills and personal confidence through tutorials, study techniques,
academic success seminars and other study success assistance.
• Study 2 pre-selected courses ( 6 units) which are transferrable to the CSU and UC
systems and therefore transferable towards your Bachelor degree
• Pre-register for next semester DVC classes early
• Visit local universities: UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, UC Davis, etc
• Fall, Spring and Summer programs
