Project: Developing a radiative cooling material from all dielectric metamaterial
• Fabricating porous polymer structures (poresize: 0.5-20µm) based on the phase inversion method
• Researching to construct and set up a measurement system for measure cooling effect as well as
environmental parameters (humidity, air temperature, solar irradiance)
• Investigating functional groups (amonia, hydroxy, methyl, ethyl) on glass by dielectric barrier
discharge to improve the adhesion property of thinfilm
• Integrating thinfilm on glass-base by spin coating, doctor blade methods for building application
• Characterizing thinfilm properties with spectrocopy (UV-vis, ATR-FTIR, Water contact angle)
and microscopy (optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy)
• Simulating the scattering effect of a porous structure with FDTD method
