1. Leave it to the Japanese to come up with a chair that can fit everyone from a
baby to the Parents. Use it as a high chair or turn it into a wooden rocking horse
for baby; as an added bonus you can flip it and it becomes a bar stool or adult
chair! Designed by the late innovator Toshimitsu Sasaki, the New Bambini has
classic style and a unique design.
2. In true Asian Fashion: Leave your shoes at the door and step/slip into Carpet
slippers, that are made to be stored as part of your carpet. You never have to
worry about looking for your house shoes again! (This is not an Asian designer
but she must have been influenced by the Asian culture)
3. Inspired by the Japanese Art of Origami, this rest sofa creates an illusion
as though it was “folding paper”. Modern and versatile it works as a com-
fortable L shaped sofa and can be converted into a love seat with a coffee
table. Manufactured by Vondom, this sleek and simple design will stand
out in any modern room.
4. This Kotatsu table is made from wood and is low to the ground. It is has a
heater with a blanket that is used between the base and the top of the table to
capture the heat. Once the top is in place you can manage your heat settings and
it is ready to use as a workstation, dining table or gathering point for friends and
family.
