Carbon Reduction Commitment
Started as a Carbon Trading Scheme, but changed into a
Carbon “Tax” by the current government.
The Council has to pay a an amount set by the UK
Government per tonne of CO2 it produces.
Most recently approximately £16/Tonne
The latest amount payable was about £160,000.
