2. • Srikanth Kidambi is our role model because we were
inspired by his game play. Srikanth is an Indian
badminton player.
• He was born on 7th February in 1993. A former world
No.1, Srikanth was awarded the Padma shri, India’s
fourth highest civilian award in 2018, and he was also
awarded Arjuna award in 2015.
• His father's name is KVS Krishna, and his mother's name
is Radha.
• In 2021, he became the first Indian to reach the World
Championship final in the men’s singles.

junior World Champion of Malaysia in Maldives
international Challenge to claim the men’s

• In 2019, he established the Srikanth Badminton Foundation, a nonprofit and not even know
to anyone that started with the purpose of improving the sports in rural India. It works with
over 3.5 lakh schools and colleges.
• In the same year Srikanth organ donation was set up to address challenges the foundation
faced.
• In 2020, Srikanth encourages wealthy individuals to pledge half their life with sports. With a
donation of Rs 30 crore, Srikanth topped the Indian Badminton Singles for the umpteenth
Singles for the umpteenth time in 2021.

CM Relief Fund to help the India in the covid-19.
• The year before, he donated Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister's
Natural Calamity Relief Fund to aid flood victims suffering in the
unprecedented floods.
• In 2020, he also donated Rs 15 crore to charitable causes.
